How AI GPS Map Camera handles your photos, location data and support messages — in plain language.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy explains how the AI GPS Map Camera mobile app (Android and iOS) and the website aigpsmapcamera.com handle personal data. In data-protection law we are the data controller for the limited data described below. Written notices and requests: support@aigpsmapcamera.com.

Operator details to complete before launch: registered legal name, business address, and (if applicable) the name of the Data Protection Officer or India DPDP Data Protection Officer / Consent Manager contact. Publishing a policy without an identifiable operator and postal address does not satisfy GDPR Art. 13, the India DPDP Act 2023, or Google Play and App Store listing requirements.

2. What data is involved

We do not operate accounts, we do not use advertising or analytics identifiers in this release, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. The website uses no cookies for tracking; it sets no cookies of its own.

3. Device permissions and why they are requested

• Camera — to show the viewfinder and take the photo. Requested when you first open the capture screen; used only while that screen is open.
• Location (precise, while in use) — to build the stamp and the capture record. The app does not request background location and does not track you when it is closed.
• Photos / storage — to save the images you capture and, if you enable it, an unstamped original.
• Microphone — only if you record video with sound.
• Notifications (optional) — only for operational messages such as a failed save.

You can refuse or withdraw any permission at any time in your device settings; the app then continues with reduced function (for example, a photo without a location stamp).

Location data can reveal sensitive information. Because it never leaves your device except for the geocoding/tile lookup described below, and because you control the permission, we do not use it for any purpose other than producing the stamp and record you asked for.

5. Who else is involved (processors and third parties)

• Map and geocoding provider — receives the coordinates needed to return a street address and a static map tile. Complete this section with the provider’s name and a link to its privacy policy before launch (for example Google Maps Platform or Mapbox); the provider processes the request under its own terms.
• Hosting provider — hosts aigpsmapcamera.com and keeps standard server logs.
• Email provider — delivers and stores support correspondence.
• App stores — Apple and Google process downloads, ratings and crash reports under their own policies; we receive only aggregate, non-identifying statistics from them.
• Authorities — we disclose data only where a valid legal obligation requires it, and only what we actually hold (which does not include your photos or coordinates).

We do not use processors for photo storage, because photos are never uploaded.

6. How long data is kept

• Photos, stamps and capture records — kept on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. We cannot delete them for you because we never receive them.
• Support correspondence — up to 24 months after the matter is closed, then deleted.
• Website server logs — retained by the hosting provider for a short period (typically up to 30 days) for security and diagnostics.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights: access to your data; correction; deletion (“right to be forgotten”); restriction of processing; objection to processing based on legitimate interests; data portability; withdrawal of consent at any time; and the right not to be subject to solely automated decisions with legal effect (we make none). Under the India DPDP Act you also have the right to nominate another person to exercise your rights, and the right of grievance redressal. Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” — we do neither.

To exercise any right, email support@aigpsmapcamera.com with the subject “Data request”. We respond within 30 days (India DPDP: without undue delay). Because photos and location data live only on your device, the fastest way to erase them is to delete the photos or uninstall the app; for anything we hold (support email, server logs) we act on your request directly. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your local supervisory authority — in India the Data Protection Board of India, in the EU/UK your national data-protection authority.

8. Children

The app is not directed to children. It is rated for general audiences but is not intended for use by children under 13 (or under 18 without verifiable parental consent where the India DPDP Act applies). We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child’s data reached us through support correspondence, email us and we will delete it.

9. Security

Data on the device is protected by the operating system’s app sandbox and, where you enable it, device encryption and screen lock. The website is served over HTTPS. Support email is protected by the mailbox provider’s security controls. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting personal data we hold occurs, we will notify affected users and the competent authority as required by law (GDPR: 72 hours; India DPDP: as prescribed).

10. International transfers

Our hosting, email and map providers may process data outside your country. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA/UK we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision; complete this section with the actual provider locations before launch.

11. Advertising and analytics

This release contains no advertisements, no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK. If advertising (for example Google AdMob) is added in future, we will update this policy before the feature ships, name the ad partner, describe the identifiers used (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple’s IDFA), and — where the law requires it — ask for your consent first. Ad slots are reserved only on the Gallery and Settings screens and never on the capture or permission screens.

12. Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and for material changes we will show a notice in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that date means the updated policy applies.

13. Contact and grievance redressal
